Self aligning ball bearing is a kind of double row bearing with spherical outer ring raceway. The inner ring, ball and cage can rotate freely around the bearing center, and have the centricity. Its self-aligning ability can compensate the centering error, shaft deformation and bearing pedestal deformation. The self-aligning ball bearing is suitable for the transmission bearing where the center of the shaft and upper shell is difficult and the shaft is easy to bend.

1. Self aligning ball bearings:

   Self aligning ball bearing is a double row ball bearing with spherical raceway on the outer ring and two deep groove raceways on the inner ring. It is mainly used to bear radial load, while bearing radial load, it can also bear a small amount of axial load, but generally can not bear pure axial load, its limit speed is lower than deep groove ball bearing. This kind of bearing is mostly used on the double support shaft which is prone to bending under load, and in the parts where the double bearing hole can not guarantee the strict coaxiality, but the relative inclination between the inner ring center line and the outer ring center line shall not exceed 3 degrees.


2. Features and application of self-aligning ball bearing:

  The self-aligning ball bearing has cylindrical hole and conical hole. The cage is made of steel plate and synthetic resin. Its feature is that the outer ring raceway is spherical, with automatic self-aligning, which can compensate the errors caused by different centrality and shaft deflection, but the relative inclination of the inner and outer rings shall not exceed 3 degrees.


3. Self aligning ball bearing structure:

The deep groove ball bearing with dust cover and sealing ring has been filled with proper amount of grease during assembly. It should not be heated or cleaned before installation. It does not need to be lubricated during use. It can adapt to the operating temperature between – 30 ℃ and + 120 ℃.  
Self aligning ball bearings are mainly used in precision instruments, low noise motors, automobiles, motorcycles and general machinery. They are the most widely used bearings in machinery industry.


4. Minimum maintenance requirements:

Only a small amount of lubricant is needed to make the self-aligning ball bearing operate efficiently. Its low friction and excellent design extend the time interval of re lubrication. Sealed bearings do not require re lubrication.
